Coach Joseph Broderick grew up in Phoenix. He went to St. Mary’s High School and continued his education at Arizona State University where he is part of the elite inaugural graduating class of WP Carey School of Business.

Coach Connell Nolan grew up outside of Minneapolis straddling his two futbol loves (American and the real kind:).  Though playing club through highschool, he ultimately played college football at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Coach Christopher Yesenski grew up in Phoenix.  He played soccer throughout High School and was 1st Team All-State his Junior and Senior years.

A Phoenix native Guillermo Mazier grew up playing in the Arizona youth soccer system at a young age. Over the course of his youth career, he was fortunate to have been selected to play on multiple Olympic development teams, win 7 state championships, 2 regional championships and play internationally in the Netherlands.

Coach Whellyn Carroll grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. Coach grew up playing for local sides before venturing to pursue a soccer career in Scotland where he spent two years trying to make it until being offered to come to America.

Coach Diego is the only coach on staff who has gone through Excel Soccer Academy’s system from beginning to end. Coach Diego has played at the highest level of club soccer for 14 years.
